VRA Partners Advises Southwire on its Acquisition of United Copper Industries

VRA Partners, LLC is pleased to announce that Southwire Company, LLC ("Southwire") has acquired United Copper Industries ("United Copper"), the third largest manufacturer of building wire in the United States. The transaction closed on September 20, 2016. VRA Partners acted as the exclusive financial advisor to Southwire on this transaction. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

United Copper, a manufacturer of building wire and cable, headquartered in Denton, Texas, has been a leading provider of THHN, bare wire, non-metallic and metal clad cables. The acquisition of United Copper will enable Southwire to expand its manufacturing capabilities in the Company's core building wire products segment and enhance Southwire's geographical footprint.
