Collier McRae is a Managing Director of VRA Partners. Collier’s experience encompasses a broad range of transaction types, with particular expertise in M&A advisory and capital raising engagements within the Consumer, Industrial and Healthcare sectors.
Collier brings both middle market and Wall Street investment banking experience to the firm, having advised clients ranging from founder and family-owned businesses to leading private equity firms and multi-national corporations. Prior to joining VRA, Collier started his career at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Peter J. Solomon Company in New York City, where he advised industry-leading clients on capital raising, mergers & acquisitions, leveraged buyouts and capital structure alternatives. While at Bank of America Merrill Lynch and Peter J. Solomon, Collier executed transactions across several industries, including Consumer, Healthcare and Industrial.
Prior to his investment banking career, Collier worked as a summer associate at various corporate law firms, including King & Spalding and Paul Hastings, and taught elementary school through the DC Teaching Fellows Program in Washington, DC.
Collier received a B.A. with honors in English from Washington and Lee University and a J.D. / M.B.A. with honors from the University of Georgia. During law school, Collier served on the Editorial Board of the Georgia Law Review.
